Last Quarter

Too much turkey at Thanksgiving (the Canadian one) leads to very drowsy tracks:

Last Quarter

Yawn.

Getaway Remix

If there was any proof needed to say that I am actually a frustrated drummer at heart, this would be it.

A two minute drum workout I made after staying up way too late one night. You know, when your nerves loose their insulation and things start to sound strange.

It's a bit nuts, really. An old remix I had forgotten about from years ago.  I thought I would post it to follow up on the last two sleepy tracks.

Seams Come Apart

I was trying to channel my inner Miles Davis on this new track, but instead all I got was Chuck Mangione...

Oh well.

It might be a bit too long too.

Check it:

Seams Come Apart

Whitewash

1) A mixture of lime and water, often with whiting, size, or glue added, that is used to whiten walls, fences, or other structures

2) To whitewash is to gloss over or cover up vices, crimes, or to exonerate by means of a perfunctory investigation or through biased presentation of data.

I have nothing to hide. Do you?

The Titleist

I picked up a few $1.00 records at a garage sale last week, so I've been listening to Leggat's 1983 double album Illuminations, recorded in Toronto in 1982, as well as the Police's Synchronicity from the following year.

This track has nothing to do with either of them:

Double Stitch

Another instrumental I've been kicking around since my last trip to New York...

Coming Down (1983)

All the time
Coming down is all I see
Cold day in November
It was 1983

Wait for days
lying on the airport seat
holding on to your image
for as long as I could keep

Coming down

Sky around
Tumble down
Bring us home
Along the ground
Send love to mom
Take my place

Always I
Can't feel the first impact
we hold onto your fear
And take your pain away

Wait for days
lying on the airport seat
holding on to your image
for as long as I could keep

Coming down

Sky around
Tumble down
Bring us home
Along the ground
Send love to mom
Take my place

I Lost My First Wish

Back in the fall of 1999, I had a ticket to fly to NYC to visit a friend, but literally hours before I was going to board the plane, he called to say his job had been transferred to L.A. and he was going to have to fly out the next day!

If my trip had gone as planned, this track certainly would have been the soundtrack...

I was going to name it "Me Against Five Boroughs"...

I Lost My First Wish
