I sent my friend Iaian some CDs of my recent Travino and Ellesmere output, and this is what was sent back to me over the weekend.

So I've been doing all these new tracks on the computer, and they don't sound like the regular output I create in the studio.

Obviously a new handle is needed to separate out the polished, cold, precise tracks done using nothing but software, and the warmer, messy stuff I do using old hardware.

I've decided to categorize the PC created stuff under the name "Ellesmere". A nice name that conjures up images of harsh cold environments. It also taps into the dislocation I've been feeling generally with all the changes that have happened to me personally in 2005. Sometimes you just feel so isolated...
