From the Archives - April 7th 2005

Without having access to the regular studio, I've been spending a bit more time listening to some older material.

Here is a track that sounds very simple, but is made up by many small parts that really shouldn't work together. I wrote it after rediscovering a book about contemporary Japanese art post 1945. Photographs were taken in Hiroshima in the days following the bombing of an unexpected artifact - shadows of everyday objects that where etched by the atomic flash. An obviously horrible juxtaposition of beauty and destruction.
